Hydrafacial’s HydraClear Booster Targets Acne with a Triple-Acid Formula

Acne sufferers have a new professional treatment option. SkinHealth Systems (NASDAQ: SKIN), the Long Beach, California-based parent company of the globally popular Hydrafacial® brand, has launched the HydraClear™ Treatment Booster—a clinically tested, triple-acid solution designed for blemish-prone skin.

HydraClear features an alcohol-free blend of three acids:

  • Salicylic acid exfoliates dead surface cells and helps break down excess oil.
  • Succinic acid helps soothe and refresh the skin.
  • Tranexamic acid helps visibly fade post-blemish marks and even out skin tone.

In a 12-week clinical study involving 26 participants, investigators observed a 38% mean reduction in total blemishes. After four treatments, 81% of participants had fewer visible blemishes.

“HydraClear reflects where we are taking Hydrafacial treatments: beyond a premium facial to a more personalized skin health platform,” said Pedro Malha, CEO of SkinHealth Systems.

The booster is available as part of Deluxe and Platinum Hydrafacial treatments at professional skincare clinics. Providers can also pair it with blue LED light therapy for a more targeted approach to breakouts. Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Amy Forman Taub, MD, FAAD, who led the clinical trial, noted that acne can affect more than the skin, influencing confidence and social interactions.
