Omaxe and Lemon Tree Hotels Collaborate to Establish 10 Hotels Across India

In a significant move in India’s hospitality sector, real estate developer Omaxe Ltd. has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels. The collaboration aims to develop and operate 10 hotel projects, encompassing approximately 4,000 keys, across various locations in the country.

This landmark agreement, with an estimated investment of ₹4,000 crore (~$480 million USD), forms a crucial part of Omaxe’s expansive ₹6,200 crore hospitality expansion plan announced in June 2026. This strategic plan envisions the establishment of 19 hotels across five Indian states.

The 10 properties under the new MoU will be spread across Lucknow, Vrindavan, Amausi, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Amritsar, Kaushambi, and Faridabad. These locations include transit hubs, pilgrimage destinations, and commercial centres, catering to the burgeoning Tier II and Tier III city markets in India.

The properties will function under the well-established brand portfolio of Lemon Tree Hotels, catering to diverse hospitality segments. The project completion timelines are expected to range from nine months to five years. Omaxe Managing Director Mohit Goel highlighted the rising demand for quality accommodation beyond India’s major metro cities, fuelled by business, leisure, and pilgrimage travel. Lemon Tree Hotels MD Neelendra Singh hailed the deal as a significant boost to the company’s asset-light growth strategy.
