Neutrogena Unveils ‘Break the Rules’ Campaign to Debunk Retinol Myths

Neutrogena, a renowned skincare brand with over 90 years of dermatological innovation, has unveiled a daring new brand mission titled “Break the Rules”. This initiative aims to revolutionize the way consumers perceive retinol.

Launched on July 15, 2026, ‘Break the Rules’ is a direct counter to the rising tide of beauty misinformation prevalent on social media. Neutrogena cites Pulsar social listening data, which reveals nearly 17,000 U.S. consumer posts about retinol across TikTok and Instagram in the first five months of 2026 alone. The data highlights a common concern: consumers desire the proven anti-aging benefits of retinol but are apprehensive about potential irritation.

The spotlight of the campaign is Neutrogena’s innovative Rapid Wrinkle Repair® Retinol Regenerating Cream. Priced at $24.97, this product employs patented controlled-release technology to deliver double the retinol power, coupled with hyaluronic acid and Vitamin A. It promises visible results with reduced irritation and claims to reverse up to seven years of skin aging.
