Qatar Airways Announces Major Expansion to Over 150 Destinations This Summer
Qatar Airways has unveiled an ambitious network expansion, set to commence on June 16, 2026. This expansion will extend the airline’s service to over 150 destinations worldwide until September 15, marking one of the most significant growth initiatives in the airline’s recent history.
As the airline recovers from operational challenges faced earlier this year, this expansion reflects the robust demand across multiple regions. The revamped summer schedule introduces new routes and increased flight frequencies across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, providing travelers with enhanced flexibility during peak travel seasons.
As part of this expansion, Qatar Airways is offering the following benefits:
- Complimentary date changes for passengers with bookings between February 28 and September 15, 2026, for new travel dates until October 31, 2026.
- Additional daily flights to key markets, including Sri Lanka, increasing the total weekly service to 42 flights on this route alone.
By mid-June 2026, Qatar Airways plans to operate over 137 confirmed passenger flights daily from Doha’s Hamad International Airport. This move positions the airline as a major connectivity hub in the Middle East, standing shoulder to shoulder with competitors such as Emirates and Etihad.
