JetBlue Introduces BlueFirst: A New First-Class Experience Starting at $249

JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) has officially opened bookings for BlueFirst™, its brand-new domestic first-class cabin. This marks a historic move as the airline’s first true first-class product on non-Mint routes. BlueFirst tickets, available across more than 30 routes, went on sale on October 15, 2026, with introductory one-way fares starting at just $249.

The premier service is set to debut on December 8, 2026. Daily flights will operate between Boston Logan International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport — two of JetBlue’s largest hub cities. New York LaGuardia–Fort Lauderdale flights will follow on December 12, with additional routes rolling out through April 2027.

BlueFirst passengers can look forward to a range of amenities, including:

  • Collins Aerospace MiQ recliner seats
  • No middle seats
  • Curated food and beverage service (including a bento-style FirstFare meal box on flights over 899 miles)
  • Priority check-in
  • Group 1 boarding
  • Two free checked bags

A more affordable BlueFirst Base tier is also available for budget-conscious premium travelers.

“We designed BlueFirst to deliver a more accessible first-class experience that combines the thoughtful hospitality and service customers expect from JetBlue with exceptional value and comfort,” said CEO Joanna Geraghty. The launch positions JetBlue to compete more directly with Delta First, United First, and American Airlines’ first-class cabins — at a potentially lower price point.
