Introducing FLUX 3 Max: The AI Video Model Outpacing Competitors
Generative AI video technology has taken a significant leap forward. The San Francisco-based AI firm, Fal, in partnership with Black Forest Labs, has unveiled FLUX 3 Max. This revolutionary video generation model promises superior image-to-video quality at unparalleled speeds.
The model was released on October 19, 2026, via Fal’s inference platform. As per the claims of both companies, FLUX 3 Max can generate a 10-second, 720p video in roughly 12 seconds. This makes it 22 times faster than Seedance 2.5 at the same reported quality rating. It also outperforms the original FLUX 3 by being 11.5 times faster.
FLUX 3 Max supports text-to-video, image-to-video, and keyframes-to-video generation through a unified API. This provides developers with a flexible tool for creating content-generation applications.
The model was post-trained by Fal Research using specialized post-training, reinforcement learning, and inference optimization on top of Black Forest Labs’ FLUX 3 foundation model. Fal’s CEO, Burkay Gur, believes that significant advancements in generative AI will result from optimizing models and the systems that operate them.
To commemorate the launch, Fal is offering FLUX 3 Max at a 75% discount for the first three weeks. This brings the price of a 10-second clip down to approximately $0.43, significantly cheaper than competing models like Google’s Veo 3.1.
