Palo Alto Networks in Talks to Acquire Clutch Security for $500M
Cybersecurity giant Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW) is reportedly in advanced talks to acquire Clutch Security, an Israeli startup specializing in AI-agent identity management, for approximately $500 million. The Information reported the talks on November 4, 2026.
Founded three years ago and based in Tel Aviv, Clutch Security has developed software that helps enterprises track, manage, and secure the passwords, authentication codes, and credentials AI agents use to access corporate systems. This is a rapidly growing security challenge as businesses deploy autonomous AI tools with privileged access to sensitive infrastructure.
If finalized, the deal would mark Palo Alto Networks’ fifth announced acquisition in 2026, underscoring CEO Nikesh Arora’s aggressive push to expand the company’s AI security capabilities. The acquisition is expected to enhance Palo Alto’s Prisma AIRS platform, which is designed to protect AI agents, models, and applications. It would follow Palo Alto’s earlier landmark acquisition of identity security firm CyberArk, which the company has since rebranded as Idira®.
Palo Alto Networks declined to comment on the reports, and Clutch Security has not issued a public statement. Talks are ongoing, and a final deal has not been confirmed.
