Apple Opens Siri AI to Third-Party Developers in iOS 27.3 Beta
Apple announced on November 3, 2026, that its Siri AI Developer Preview is now available to all developers through the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, and visionOS 27.3 betas.
For the first time, any third-party app can connect directly to Siri AI using Apple’s App Intents framework, with no special entitlement required. Developers can expose custom content and actions to Siri, enabling the assistant to handle tasks across apps, such as:
- Checking deliveries
- Booking reservations
- Placing orders
The update also supports multi-action “App Skills”, which let Siri combine several related tasks in response to a single natural-language request.
First unveiled at WWDC 2026 in June, Siri AI was built in collaboration with Google’s Gemini model family. It is designed to deliver a more conversational, context-aware experience, with support for personal context, onscreen awareness, and natural-language understanding. Initial language support includes English, French, and Japanese, with more languages planned.
Apple expects to release iOS 27.3 publicly in December 2026. App Store submissions for Siri AI integrations are expected to open in spring 2027.
