In one of the most anticipated stock market events of the decade, Anthropic — the artificial intelligence company behind the Claude AI models — publicly filed its Form S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 26, 2026, setting the stage for a Nasdaq listing under the ticker symbol ANT.
The filing, led by underwriters including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley alongside 20 additional banks, opens the company’s books for the first time. According to the prospectus, Anthropic generated a staggering $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026 alone — a dramatic leap from $1.16 billion in the same period a year prior. However, the company also reported a net loss of $80.7 billion for H1 2026, largely attributed to massive non-cash compute commitments.
The company plans to start pitching the offering to investors as early as the week of November 9, with a possible debut before Thanksgiving. Anthropic was last valued by private investors at $965 billion, and unconfirmed press reports suggest a potential valuation of up to $2 trillion at IPO — which could make it the largest public offering in history. Founders Dario and Daniela Amodei will retain control through a special voting structure holding 50.1% of total voting power.
