In what could become one of the largest stock market listings in history, Anthropic — the San Francisco-based company behind the Claude AI model — officially filed its Form S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 26, 2026. The company plans to list its Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol ANT, with a listing expected as early as November 2026.
The filing, led by underwriters Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley — alongside a syndicate of 22 banks in total — reveals that Anthropic posted an impressive $16.3 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026, up from just $1.2 billion in the same period a year earlier. However, the company also reported a staggering $80.7 billion net loss, largely driven by a $72.4 billion non-cash convertible-note accounting charge.
Reports suggest Anthropic is targeting a valuation of between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion, with a fundraise of at least $100 billion. The company has also disclosed future compute obligations of approximately $542 billion, covering data center and cloud services deals stretching up to 20 years. The filing dedicates significant space to AI risks — including, remarkably, “catastrophic or existential risks to humanity.”
