Chinese robotics company Unitree Robotics, headquartered in Hangzhou, has unveiled its most jaw-dropping humanoid robot yet — the H2-X “Kung Fu Legend Guardian” — sending shockwaves across the tech and robotics world. Introduced via a viral promotional video on October 21, 2026, the footage has already surpassed 4 million views in less than 24 hours.
Built on the company’s existing H2 platform — a 1.8-meter, 70 kg humanoid with 31 degrees of freedom — the H2-X is designed for patrol, personal protection, and emergency rescue. The demo video shows the robot performing backflips, spinning kicks powerful enough to dent car doors, and leaping from a 4-meter platform before rolling and returning to its feet. In simulated rescue scenarios, it steps between a person and an armed intruder, pushes bystanders away from oncoming vehicles, and lifts the front of a car to free a trapped dummy. Unitree claims all footage is real and has not been sped up.
The H2-X boasts approximately 8 hours of standing endurance — triple the base model’s battery life. While no price or commercial release date has been announced for the H2-X, the standard H2 is listed at $29,900. Experts caution that it remains unclear how much of the demonstration relied on autonomous decision-making versus remote operation or pre-programmed sequences.
