Get Ready for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026: A Gathering of 700,000 Aviation Enthusiasts
The moment we’ve all been waiting for is almost upon us. The world’s largest aviation celebration, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026, is set to commence this Sunday, July 20. This marks the 73rd edition of the iconic annual fly-in convention hosted by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). The event will run through July 26 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Organizers are gearing up to welcome more than 10,000 aircraft and 700,000 attendees from across the globe. The event, recently crowned the 2026 Best Airshow in the USA by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, will temporarily transform Wittman Regional Airport into the busiest airport worldwide by number of movements.
This year’s show holds extra significance, as it features special events honoring America’s 250th anniversary. Attendees can look forward to:
- Appearances by a B-52 bomber, F-35 fighter jet, C-5 transport, and NASA’s Super Guppy on Boeing Plaza.
- The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (Red Arrows) performing formation flying on July 24–26 as part of their extended U.S. tour.
- The presentation of FLYING Magazine’s Editor’s Choice Awards at a special AirVenture party on the opening evening of July 20, recognizing the year’s most outstanding GA products.
Thanks to Boeing’s sponsorship, admission for attendees 18 and under is free, making this a must-attend family event for aviation enthusiasts of all ages.
