Disney Adventure: A Historic Journey from Port Canaveral to Singapore

Disney Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship, the Disney Adventure, made a historic stop at Port Canaveral, Florida, on January 15, 2026. This marked the vessel’s first call in the United States before continuing its journey to Singapore for its inaugural season.

The 208,000-gross-ton ship, capable of accommodating approximately 6,000 passengers, will spend just over a week in Florida. After this, it will sail through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific Ocean to begin three- and four-night cruises from Singapore starting March 10, 2026.

The Disney Adventure represents Disney Cruise Line’s first entry into the Asia cruise market. It will operate exclusively from Singapore for at least five years under an agreement with the Singapore Tourism Board.

Originally the partially-built Global Dream commissioned by the now-bankrupt Genting Hong Kong, Disney acquired and refitted the vessel at Germany’s Meyer Werft shipyard. The ship features seven themed areas inspired by Disney, Marvel, and Pixar films. These include a Storybook Castle, the world’s longest roller coaster at sea spanning over 250 meters, multiple live shows, and signature Disney entertainment experiences tailored for Asian families.
