Bell Delivers Its 2,000th Model 407 Helicopter

Bell Textron has reached a major production milestone with the delivery of its 2,000th Bell 407 helicopter. The aircraft, a Bell 407GXi, was delivered to White Saddle Air Services, a family-owned helicopter company based at Bluff Lake near Tatla Lake in British Columbia’s Cariboo Chilcotin region.

Bell announced the milestone on November 5, 2026, from its headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.

White Saddle Air Services provides rotorcraft for demanding operations across some of British Columbia’s most remote terrain, including:

  • Tourism
  • Mining exploration
  • Emergency medical services
  • Firefighting

The milestone aircraft features the Garmin G1000H™ NXi integrated all-glass flight deck, designed to enhance situational awareness and reduce pilot workload.

The Bell 407 entered service in 1996 as a development of the Bell 206L LongRanger family. It has now surpassed its predecessor’s total production run of more than 1,700 units. Bell President and CEO Danny Maldonado called the delivery “a tremendous milestone,” crediting Bell’s engineering and manufacturing teams, as well as the operators worldwide who rely on the aircraft for essential missions.

Bell manufactures the 407 at its commercial facility in Mirabel, Quebec.
