NZ Brand Apiora Debuts Mānuka Honey Moisturiser on World Honey Day

New Zealand has a new name in skincare: Apiora. The Auckland-based brand launched its debut product, Skin Restore, on World Mānuka Honey Day, November 2, 2026.

Founded by Auckland entrepreneur Nigel Wilson, Apiora was inspired by his experience with dry, sensitive skin. Its daily moisturiser combines New Zealand ingredients, including mānuka honey and kawakawa, with clinically developed compounds such as Ceramide NP and panthenol. The product is made entirely in New Zealand and formulated without artificial fragrances.

“New Zealand has some extraordinary natural ingredients, but I didn’t want to create something that relied on the natural story alone,” said Wilson, highlighting the brand’s focus on science-backed performance alongside its nature-forward identity.

Before launch, Skin Restore underwent consumer testing with people who have dry and sensitive skin. Apiora’s debut also reflects growing global demand for clean, ingredient-conscious skincare rooted in regional heritage—a trend reshaping beauty aisles worldwide in 2026.
