JetBlue Introduces BlueFirst™: Affordable Domestic First Class Starting at $249

JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) has officially started accepting reservations for its highly anticipated new domestic first-class product, BlueFirst™. This new offering is now available on over 30 routes across North America and selected international destinations. As of October 15, 2026, the airline has been offering limited-time introductory one-way fares starting at a mere $249, making premium domestic travel more accessible than ever before.

BlueFirst™ is scheduled to make its commercial debut on December 8, 2026. The inaugural revenue flight will connect Boston’s Logan Airport with Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The new cabin is equipped with Collins Aerospace MiQ recliner seats arranged in a 2-by-2 layout, providing up to seven inches more legroom than standard Main cabin seats and up to five inches of recline. Each seat comes with a 13.3-inch personal screen, Bluetooth audio, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a power outlet, and USB charging.

Passengers on flights covering 899 miles or more will receive a complimentary bento-style FirstFare meal box. This will be accompanied by premium snacks and upgraded drinks on every flight. BlueFirst™ will gradually be introduced to Latin America and the Caribbean as more aircraft are retrofitted. By the end of 2026, approximately 20% of JetBlue’s non-Mint fleet will be equipped with BlueFirst™. “We’re thrilled that customers can now start incorporating BlueFirst™ into their travel plans,” stated CEO Joanna Geraghty.
