Electric Aviation: The Spotlight of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026
As the world’s largest aviation gathering approaches, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) announces that electric aircraft and emerging aviation technologies will be the main attraction at AirVenture Oshkosh 2026. This event is scheduled for July 20–26 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The 73rd edition of EAA AirVenture, which attracted a record-breaking 704,000 attendees last year and contributed approximately $257 million to the regional economy, will dedicate an entire day, July 21, to the future of flight. This will include static aircraft displays on Boeing Plaza and live flight demonstrations during the afternoon air show.
- Leading-edge companies such as Bye Aerospace, BETA Technologies, Jetson, American Drone, and ScaleWings will be featured.
- Drone delivery company Wing is also set to participate in AirVenture’s Twilight Flight Fest.
Bye Aerospace is expected to showcase its eFlyer 2, an all-electric two-seat training aircraft engineered to operate at a significantly lower cost than traditional piston trainers. It’s capable of recharging in under 30 minutes, which could be a game-changer for flight schools. The 20th Annual Electric Aircraft Symposium (EAS) will precede the main event on July 18–19, gathering over 50 industry leaders to chart the trajectory of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
“EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is the focal point of the calendar for the aviation community every year, making it the perfect opportunity for companies to showcase what is on the horizon,” said Rick Larsen, EAA’s Vice President of Communities and Member Programs.
