Apple TV Subscription Fee Increases to $14.99: The 4th Annual Hike
Apple Inc. has once again delved into the pockets of its subscribers. On August 28, 2026, the tech giant announced its fourth consecutive annual increase in the price of its Apple TV streaming service in the United States. The monthly subscription fee has risen from $12.99 to $14.99, and the annual plan has seen a leap from $99 to $119.
The Apple One bundle, which combines Apple TV, iCloud+, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade, has also experienced a price rise. The monthly fee has gone up from $19.95 to $21.95. These new prices are effective immediately for new subscribers. Existing members will receive a notification about the hike approximately one month before the higher rate is charged.
Apple has justified the increase by highlighting its significantly expanded content library. The service recently acquired exclusive U.S. Formula 1 broadcasting rights and added Major League Soccer streaming at no additional cost. Popular series such as the new fourth season of Ted Lasso and the second season of Dark Matter have also contributed to the platform’s allure.
This price hike follows Apple’s decision in July to increase Apple Music prices by $1 per month. However, Apple is not alone in this trend. Netflix, Peacock, and Spotify have all increased their prices in recent months due to rising content and infrastructure costs. This price increase comes just days before the incoming CEO, John Ternus, officially takes over from Tim Cook on September 1. It also precedes a major Apple product event scheduled for September 9 in Cupertino.
