Delta Resumes LA-Vancouver Flights as Cross-Border Travel Trends Shift
Delta Air Lines has announced the restoration of its service between Los Angeles and Vancouver, commencing on November 21, 2026. The route, which will be serviced by twice-daily nonstop flights on Airbus A319 aircraft, signifies Delta’s return to this market for the first time since 2018. This move aims to strengthen connectivity between these two major North American gateways.
The reintroduction of this service comes at a strategic time, given the evolving travel patterns between Canada and the United States. As per Statistics Canada, Canadian travel to the U.S. has been impacted by a boycott that started in early 2025. Conversely, American visits to Canada have seen an increase of 5.9% year-over-year in certain months. However, a small 3% rise in Canadian visitors to the U.S. in April 2026 may indicate a shift in momentum.
“Delta is continuing to invest in Los Angeles with the addition of new twice-daily nonstop service,” the airline stated. This route is set to offer Southern California customers convenient access to Vancouver’s outdoor adventure tourism, world-class dining, and cruise departures. Meanwhile, it will connect Vancouver travelers to Los Angeles’ business, entertainment, and cultural offerings. Through Delta and its airline partners, customers can access up to 191 peak-day departures to 68 destinations worldwide via LAX.
