Embraer Shatters Records with a 47% Surge in Q1 Deliveries
Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has made a record-breaking start to 2026, reporting its strongest first-quarter performance in company history. The company’s revenues for Q1 2026 soared to $1.4 billion, with a total of 44 aircraft delivered. This marks a significant 47% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
The impressive results were driven by growth across all business segments. The commercial aviation segment delivered 10 aircraft, a 43% increase year-on-year. This included six E175s, one E190-E2, and three E195-E2 jets. Executive aviation contributed with 29 jets, a 26% increase, while the defense division delivered five aircraft, including one KC-390 Millennium and four A-29 Super Tucanos.
Embraer’s backlog reached an all-time high of $32.1 billion, marking its sixth consecutive record. The commercial aviation backlog jumped 50% to $15.0 billion, primarily driven by Finnair’s order for 18 E195-E2 aircraft plus options. This strong performance reflects Embraer’s production leveling initiatives designed to smooth output throughout the year.
CEO Francisco Gomes Neto addressed the issue of rising fuel costs affecting airlines globally. “At this time, there is no direct impact on Embraer,” he said. “We don’t see any less interest in new campaigns or any movement to delay deliveries.” The company has maintained its full-year 2026 guidance, targeting deliveries of 80 to 85 commercial aircraft and 160 to 170 executive jets, with revenue guidance between $8.2 billion and $8.5 billion.
