Virgin Voyages has officially made its grand entrance to the West Coast, marking a significant milestone with the launch of its newest ship, the Brilliant Lady, at the Port of Los Angeles on April 6, 2026. This event signifies the cruise line’s inaugural California sailings and its strategic foray into the competitive West Coast cruise market.
The deployment of Brilliant Lady brings forth a diverse range of itineraries spanning five to 17 nights. Destinations include:
- Catalina Island
- San Diego
- Ensenada
- Cabo San Lucas
- Puerto Vallarta
- San Francisco
- Victoria
- Vancouver
- Panama Canal crossing to Miami
The adults-only cruise experience is designed to cater to millennials and Gen Z travelers in search of premium, flexible cruise options.

Virgin Voyages Expands Operations
In related cruise news, Virgin Voyages announced a shift of its New York operations from Manhattan to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal starting April 6, 2026, due to infrastructure upgrades at Manhattan’s Pier 90. Additionally, the company will make its inaugural Alaska season debut in 2026 with Resilient Lady, joining the ranks of other major cruise lines in the anticipated “Alaska Travel Revolution.”
The Port of Los Angeles reported a record-breaking cruise year in 2025 with 241 calls carrying 1.6 million passengers, generating an estimated $300 million for the local economy.
