Nobu Hospitality Unveils Luxurious Maldives Resort with Private Island Residences

Nobu Hospitality has recently announced plans for its first property in the Maldives, set to feature an exceptional collection of 10 private island residences. This marks a significant expansion in the luxury travel sector.

The Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives will be nestled on the private island of Munyafushi in Laamu Atoll. This project is a collaboration with Sarat International. The resort will showcase 26 beach villas and 30 overwater villas, all designed with Nobu’s signature minimalist Japanese-inspired aesthetic.

The ultra-exclusive offering includes 10 Nobu Island Estate Residences, each situated on its own private island with private yacht access. Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, stated, “As part of the new generation of Maldives hotels, we aim to set a new standard of rarity.

At the heart of the experience will be a Nobu restaurant, set on its own private island. This restaurant will serve Chef Nobu’s iconic Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine. The resort will also offer:

  • A full-service spa
  • A diving center
  • Tennis courts
  • A main swimming pool

The project is scheduled to open in late 2028.
