Meta Unveils Muse Wonder: Pioneering the Frontier-Class AI Model
Meta has ascended to the top tier of artificial intelligence, introducing Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full. These are the company’s inaugural frontier-class AI models, launched by the Meta Superintelligence Labs division on October 12, 2026. This development signifies a major intensification in Meta’s competition with OpenAI and Anthropic.
As per benchmark testing, Muse Wonder Full achieved a score of 56 on the Intelligence Index by Artificial Analysis. This places it roughly on the same level as Claude Sonnet 5.5 and slightly behind Claude Opus 5.5, which scored 58. The models are capable of handling text, image, audio, and video inputs. They boast a context window of approximately 1 million tokens and deliver frontier-level coding and reasoning performance.
Muse Wonder stands out due to two key capabilities: Active Memory and Active Focus. Active Memory retains context across sessions spanning days, weeks, or months. Active Focus is designed to prevent multi-step AI agents from drifting as they transition between apps. Muse Wonder is accessible to developers via the Meta Model API and Muse Code platform. The more potent Muse Wonder Full is exclusive to Muse Code subscribers. Pricing varies from $20 to $200 per month, making it significantly more affordable than similar offerings from competitors. The models were trained at Meta’s Prometheus data center located in central Ohio.
