OpenAI Introduces GPT-6 to All ChatGPT Users Featuring an Interactive ‘Intelligent UI’
OpenAI has launched its advanced GPT-6 model to all ChatGPT users globally. This rollout includes a novel feature, the Intelligent UI, significantly enhancing the chatbot’s interaction with its over 1.2 billion weekly users.
As of October 7, 2026, Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers have immediate access to GPT-6 Sol, the more potent variant. Meanwhile, Free and Go tier users started receiving the lighter GPT-6 Luna model on October 8. The update is automatic within the Chat tab, requiring no manual settings changes.
The highlight of this launch is the Intelligent UI. This feature allows ChatGPT to respond with fully interactive elements like tappable buttons, live charts, embedded calculators, and editable diagrams, all within a conversation. OpenAI has trained GPT-6 to determine the optimal format for each question, whether text, visual, or interactive. Furthermore, web search speeds are reported to be 44% faster on average compared to the previous GPT-5.6 Instant model.
This update does not impact OpenAI’s Work or Codex products, which continue to operate on their existing model backends. The timing for Enterprise rollout may vary based on individual admin settings.
