Liberty University and AviatorPro Unveil Revolutionary Aviation Maintenance Training Platform
Addressing one of the most pressing challenges in general aviation’s workforce, AviatorPro and Liberty University have embarked on a strategic partnership. Their mission is to develop an innovative FAA Part 147 aviation maintenance training platform. This platform is set to revolutionize the education and preparation of the next generation of aircraft maintenance technicians.
Liberty University, an FAA-certified Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School based in Lynchburg, Virginia, will be the launch customer for this new digital platform. They will actively contribute to the development of the course content. The platform promises to bring micro-learning modules, high-fidelity 3D visualizations of aircraft systems, data analytics, and AI-assisted lesson summaries to the table, replacing antiquated teaching methods that have remained stagnant for decades.
“Aircraft maintenance professionals are the backbone of aviation safety. However, many training programs are still stuck using educational methods that have barely evolved over the past several decades,” stated Luke Ormsby, President of AviatorPro. This collaboration is timely, as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 13,100 annual job openings for aircraft and avionics equipment mechanics and technicians nationwide. The new platform aims to bridge this gap. The FAA Part 147 program is currently under development, with the platform expected to launch in early 2027.
