Countdown to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026: Anticipating Record-Breaking Attendance
The countdown is on — EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 opens its gates on July 20 and runs through July 26 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This year’s event is shaping up to be the most monumental in its 73-year history. With last year’s record-breaking 704,000 visitors, organizers are optimistic about matching or even surpassing that figure in 2026.
This year’s AirVenture is particularly significant as it coincides with America’s 250th anniversary. The event will be marked by several highlights, including a debut U.S. performance by Austria’s The Flying Bulls, showcasing a rare restored P-38 and DC-6 that journeyed across the Atlantic to reach Wisconsin. Additionally, the iconic RAF Red Arrows will grace the skies from July 24–26. The opening night will feature a U.S. Air Force tribute concert headlined by country music star Tyler Hubbard at Theater in the Woods.
In a landmark move, all visitors aged 18 and under will gain free admission, courtesy of The Boeing Company. This initiative aims to inspire the next generation of aviators. The show, which attracts more than 10,000 aircraft from around the globe to Oshkosh each year, generated a staggering $257 million in regional economic impact in 2025.
To enhance the visitor experience, the new free AWEROK app is now available. This tool will assist attendees in navigating the sprawling 1,500-acre grounds and keeping track of the air show schedule.
