Introducing TRAC10: Cirrus Aircraft’s Revolutionary Flight Training Solution
Cirrus Aircraft has once again disrupted the aviation industry with the introduction of the TRAC10 — a specialized, three-seat flight training aircraft. This innovative aircraft is designed specifically for professional, collegiate, and career-focused flight schools. Unveiled on July 6, 2026, the TRAC10 represents the most audacious move by the Duluth, Minnesota-based manufacturer to revolutionize the pilot training process.
The heart of the TRAC10 is powered by a 160-horsepower turbocharged Rotax 916 iSc FADEC engine. This is complemented by a Garmin flight deck and the renowned Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). The three-seat cabin is structured for crew-based observational training, featuring an elevated rear observer station complete with a configurable display for comprehensive flight deck immersion. The aircraft also boasts additional safety features such as Electronic Stability & Protection (ESP), the Blue Level Button, airline-style stick shakers, and a cuffed-wing design for superior spin resistance.
The TRAC10 is remarkably fuel-efficient, consuming as little as 5.9 gallons per hour at 65% power. It supports multiple fuel types including 100LL avgas and unleaded alternatives. The Cirrus IQ™ system offers wireless fleet management, maintenance tracking, and automatic database updates. With a starting price of $499,900, Cirrus has already received orders for over 100 aircraft from 13 professional flight schools globally. Deliveries within the U.S. are set to commence in 2027, followed by international deliveries in 2028.
“Drawing on more than thirty years of designing, building, and supporting aircraft worldwide, the TRAC10 is our most deliberate answer yet to what professional flight schools need to succeed,” said Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen.
