Driving this travel boom is America’s 250th anniversary celebration. According to Hilton’s 2026 Trends Report, a significant 71% of Americans plan to drive to their next vacation. New booking data from HotelPlanner reveals that hotel demand for the July 4 weekend soared a remarkable 48% over the previous year, with average rates climbing 30% year over year.
