Qatar Airways Reinstates Daily Flights to UAE Following Regional Interruptions

Qatar Airways has triumphantly resumed daily flights to Dubai and Sharjah as of April 23, 2026. This marks a significant milestone in the airline’s phased network restoration following recent regional disruptions. The move reestablishes vital travel links between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates after weeks of suspended operations.

The Doha-based carrier announced that daily services to Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) commenced on Wednesday. Furthermore, flights to Damascus are set to resume on May 1, 2026. These resumptions are part of Qatar Airways’ broader strategy to expand operations to more than 150 destinations across six continents by June 16, 2026.

In an official announcement, the airline stated, “These resumptions are part of a phased restoration of Qatar Airways’ global network.” Passengers with bookings between February 28 and September 15, 2026, are eligible for complimentary date changes and fee-free rebooking options through October 31, 2026.

Over recent weeks, the airline has been steadily rebuilding operations, growing from just three flights at the beginning of March to approximately 326 flights by late April. Flight activity across the Gulf region is rebounding rapidly, with Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways all restoring operations following the reopening of regional airspace.
