Leaked: Samsung Galaxy S26 Set to Launch on February 25
The much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S26 series is set to make its debut later than usual. A leaked launch date reveals that the Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for February 25, 2026, in San Francisco. This is nearly a month later than the typical January launches, marking Samsung’s first return to San Francisco for a Galaxy S launch since the Galaxy S23 series.
The delay is attributed to last-minute lineup changes. Samsung has abandoned plans for the Galaxy S26 Edge, returning to the traditional Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra structure. This decision was made due to the disappointing sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The Galaxy S26 series will feature Samsung’s Exynos 2600 – the world’s first 2nm smartphone chip – in the base and Plus models. However, the Ultra will exclusively use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally.
San Francisco was chosen as the venue due to its significance as an AI innovation hub. This choice reinforces Samsung’s focus on AI-powered features. The company has already begun preparations for the event. Industry sources confirm that the February date represents the latest Samsung has launched flagship phones in the 2020s.
