Boeing Proposes Enhanced Contract to Conclude Defense Workers’ Prolonged Strike in Missouri
Boeing has proposed a revised contract to over 3,000 striking defense workers in the St. Louis area, doubling the ratification bonus to $6,000 from the previous offer of $3,000. This move is aimed at concluding the three-month strike that has impacted its fighter jet and trainer programs. The company announced the enhanced deal on November 10, 2025, while maintaining planned wage increases totaling 24% over five years.
The strike, initiated in August 2025, has paused sections of defense production at facilities responsible for the construction of the F-15 Eagle II, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and T-7A Red Hawk trainer aircraft. Steve Parker, Chief of Boeing Defense, Space & Security, stated that the new package would elevate the average base pay for covered employees from approximately $75,000 to $109,000 annually.
Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local 837 are slated to vote on the new proposal on November 12, 2025.
