Oceania Cruises: An Exclusive Adults-Only Experience from January 7, 2026
Oceania Cruises, a luxury cruise line, has announced a significant policy change. Starting from January 7, 2026, it will transition into an adults-only brand. The Miami-based cruise line will now exclusively welcome guests aged 18 and older for all new reservations. This move places Oceania Cruises in a select group that includes Viking and Virgin Voyages.
Nathan Hickman, Chief Commercial Officer, explained that this decision reflects guest feedback and aligns with the brand’s core demographic of travelers over 55. “Our guests have consistently shared that the tranquil environment aboard our ships is one of the primary reasons they return time and time again,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer at parent company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
The policy change applies to Oceania’s entire fleet of eight ships and all itineraries spanning over 600 ports across seven continents. Existing reservations made before January 7 that include guests under 18 will still be honored. The transition comes as the line continues to expand, with its newest vessel, Oceania Allura, recently entering service and four additional newbuilds scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2035.
