Kimberly-Clark Acquires Kenvue, Becoming New Corporate Parent of Neutrogena
Skincare leader Neutrogena is set to have a new corporate parent as Kimberly-Clark announces its $48.7 billion acquisition of Kenvue, the consumer health company that owns the dermatologist-recommended brand. This mega-deal, announced on November 3, 2025, stands as one of the largest transactions in the personal care industry this year.
Kenvue, a company spun off from Johnson & Johnson in 2023, boasts a portfolio of billion-dollar brands. These include Neutrogena, Aveeno, Johnson’s Baby, Listerine, and Tylenol. The merger of these entities is projected to generate approximately $32 billion in annual revenues and $7 billion in operating income. This creates a consumer goods powerhouse with ten brands each generating over $1 billion annually.
For Neutrogena, the change in ownership could open up new strategic opportunities under Kimberly-Clark’s portfolio. This portfolio includes household names such as Huggies, Kleenex, and Cottonelle. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. This corporate reshuffling is indicative of the ongoing consolidation in the consumer health and beauty sectors. Companies are seeking scale and synergies in an increasingly competitive market.
