Historic 100th Starlink Mission of 2025 Set for Launch Today by SpaceX
SpaceX is on the brink of making history today, October 31, 2025, with its 100th Starlink satellite mission of the year. This milestone is a testament to the company’s unmatched launch cadence. The Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to lift off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California during a four-hour window that opens at 3:44 p.m. EDT, carrying 28 Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit.
This achievement further emphasizes SpaceX’s dominance in the launch industry. The company has already conducted 138 Falcon 9 missions in 2025 alone, with 99 of them dedicated to expanding its Starlink constellation. The satellite network has now become the largest ever assembled, boasting over 10,000 satellites launched and approximately 8,800 actively operating in orbit.
The mission will also feature the attempted landing of booster B1063 on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You”, approximately 8.5 minutes post-liftoff.
With Starlink now providing internet service across multiple continents, this milestone launch further reinforces SpaceX’s goal of global connectivity. It also sets new records for commercial spaceflight frequency.
