Champions Crowned at the Women’s Air Race Classic 2025: ‘Skybound Scotts’ Soar to Victory
The 2025 Women’s Air Race Classic came to an exciting conclusion with the “Skybound Scotts” team clinching victory in the competition division. This triumphant win followed a grueling 2,426-mile cross-country race that spanned from Fairhope, Alabama to Spokane, Washington.
Team members Lauren Scott and Rebecca Carroll, representing the Las Vegas 99s, showcased exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the four-day event that covered nine states.
Meanwhile, the University of North Dakota’s “Frozen Force” team emerged victorious in the intercollegiate division, marking their first win in the competition. The team was made up of Helena Lind (pilot), Charlotte Fuller (co-pilot), Caroline Kelley (navigator), and Aubrey Baril (ground coordinator).
The Air Race Classic, with its roots dating back to 1929, remains a pivotal event in women’s air racing. It features a diverse group of pilots, ranging in age from 17 to over 90 years old.
