Cyberattack on Louis Vuitton Korea Exposes Customer Data

Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton Korea has confirmed a cyberattack that compromised customer data, becoming the latest high-profile brand to fall victim to cybercriminals.

The breach, which occurred on June 8, 2025, was discovered by the company on July 2. It involved unauthorized access to customer information including names and contact details. Louis Vuitton Korea emphasized that no financial data, credit card information, or bank account details were compromised in the attack.

The company immediately reported the incident to South Korea’s Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and government authorities. They have since implemented enhanced security measures to prevent future breaches. Affected customers are being contacted directly by the brand.

This incident represents the second cybersecurity breach within the LVMH portfolio in South Korea in recent months. The first involved Christian Dior Couture and Tiffany. These attacks highlight the growing threat facing luxury brands, as cybercriminals increasingly target high-end retailers for their valuable customer databases.

  • First Incident: Christian Dior Couture and Tiffany
  • Second Incident: Louis Vuitton Korea

The breach underscores the critical importance of robust cybersecurity measures across all industries. This is particularly true for luxury brands that handle sensitive customer information and maintain exclusive client relationships.
