Air France Introduces Complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi on European Flights

Air France has officially launched its complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi service across its fleet, marking a significant milestone in European aviation. The service took flight on September 1, 2025, with the inaugural flight from Paris (CDG) to Hamburg featuring the new high-speed connectivity on an Embraer 190 aircraft.

The French carrier has fitted two Embraer 190s and two Airbus A220s with the SpaceX satellite technology. Additionally, an Airbus A350 is scheduled to receive the upgrade this week. The service is entirely free for all Flying Blue loyalty program members across all cabin classes. This enables passengers to stream content, game online, and connect multiple devices simultaneously.

“This evolution will allow us to have a 100%-connected fleet,” said an Air France spokesperson.

The airline aims to equip 30% of its fleet by the end of 2025 and achieve complete fleet coverage by late 2026. This would make it the first major European carrier to offer free high-speed Wi-Fi fleetwide.

This rollout is a part of Air France’s broader premium strategy, capitalizing on the growing demand for enhanced passenger experiences. Non-Flying Blue members can create accounts onboard to access the service.
