Nothing unveiled its most expensive smartphone yet on Tuesday, launching the Phone 3 at $799 as the company’s first “true flagship” device. The London-based tech startup’s latest offering features premium specs and a completely redesigned back panel with an innovative Glyph Matrix display.

The Phone 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, featuring a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that reaches 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The device introduces a 5,150mAh battery—the largest in any Nothing phone to date—with 65W wired charging support.

Key Specifications:

  • Processor: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4
  • RAM: 12GB or 16GB options
  • Storage: 256GB or 512GB
  • Display: 6.67-inch AMOLED, 120Hz, 4,500 nits peak brightness
  • Battery: 5,150mAh with 65W fast charging
  • Cameras: Four 50MP sensors including 3x telephoto

The standout feature is the new “Glyph Matrix”—a dot matrix display on the back that replaces the traditional LED lights, capable of showing information like time and battery status, plus interactive “Toys” including mini-apps and games.

Preorders begin July 4 with general availability starting July 15. The Phone 3 will be available in the US through Nothing’s website and Amazon, marking the company’s second device to receive wide US distribution after the Phone 2.

The Phone 3 ships with Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, with a promise of 5 years of major Android updates and 7 years of security patches. At $799, it directly competes with Samsung’s Galaxy S25 and other premium Android devices.
