U.S. aviation fuel prices climbed for the fourth consecutive month in October 2026, reaching six-month highs for both 100LL avgas and Jet-A. The latest data from iFlightPlanner is compiled from prices reported by more than 3,300 FBOs and fuel service providers across the country.

National average prices increased across both full-service and self-service fuel:

  • Full-service 100LL avgas: $7.85 per gallon, up 1.3% from September.
  • Full-service Jet-A: $8.66 per gallon, up 3.6% month over month.
  • Self-service 100LL: $6.82 per gallon, up 15 cents from September.

Regional differences remain stark. Pilots in Alaska and Hawaii are paying close to $12.35 and $11.25 per gallon, respectively, for 100LL. In the Lower 48, New England recorded the highest full-service Jet-A average, at $9.11 per gallon.

Since February 2026, full-service 100LL prices have surged 22.1%, while Jet-A prices have risen 35.1% nationwide. Experts cite ongoing geopolitical tensions and supply-chain pressures as key drivers of the persistent upward trend, adding significant financial strain for private pilots and small aircraft operators.
