Jio Platforms IPO Launches: Aiming for a ₹30,213 Crore Fundraise

The highly anticipated Jio Platforms IPO, a landmark event in the 2026 Indian stock market, has officially begun. The public subscription opened on October 21, 2026, setting the stage for one of the largest IPOs in the history of the Indian market. The offering will close on October 23, 2026, and shares are expected to list on both the BSE and NSE by October 28, 2026.

The IPO comprises a fresh issue of 27 crore equity shares, priced between ₹1,065 and ₹1,119 per share. The aim is to raise approximately ₹30,213 crore (around $3.6 billion USD). The minimum retail investment has been set at ₹13,428 for a lot size of 12 shares. A discount of ₹54 per share is being offered to employees.

Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries, is the driving force behind Reliance Jio’s telecom network, home broadband, and an expanding suite of AI-powered digital services, including the JIO Brain AI platform. The majority of the IPO proceeds — ₹27,500 crore — will be allocated towards repaying the borrowings of its telecom subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. Kotak Mahindra Capital Company is managing the IPO as the book-running lead manager. The Grey Market Premium (GMP) is currently quoted at ₹247, indicating robust investor interest ahead of the listing.
