Disney Unveils Launch Date & Accommodations for Lakeshore Lodge Resort

Disney enthusiasts and resort aficionados, mark your calendars! The long-awaited Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge at Walt Disney World is set to officially open its doors on July 1, 2027. This Disney Vacation Club resort, years in the making, has just confirmed its opening date and provided a sneak peek at its breathtaking guest rooms and accommodation types.

The resort will boast 967 rooms, ranging from cozy Duo Studios for two, to spacious three-bedroom Grand Villas and exclusive waterfront Lake Houses. The design aesthetic is inspired by popular Disney animated films set in natural environments, featuring natural materials, earthy tones, and artwork from the Walt Disney Animation Studios archives. Each room category tells its own Disney tale: Duo Studios are themed around Encanto, while Deluxe Studios and Villas draw inspiration from the timeless Bambi.

Guests can look forward to a zero-entry pool and a lazy river. Reservations will be open to Disney Vacation Club members on October 6, 2026, to Annual Passholders on October 7, and to the general public on October 8, 2026. This is nearly nine months before the resort’s grand opening, so prime waterfront Lake Houses and rooms with fireworks views are expected to be snapped up within hours.

Initially announced in 2018 as “Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge,” the project was put on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic, only to be revived and rebranded as Lakeshore Lodge in 2024.
