Rebirth of Venice’s Iconic Danieli as a Majestic Four Seasons Hotel

One of Europe’s most illustrious luxury properties, the iconic Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel, has triumphantly reopened its doors. Nestled on the Riva degli Schiavoni in Venice, Italy, the hotel welcomed its first guests on August 26, 2026. This grand reopening follows a meticulous, multi-year restoration of the legendary palace, originally built in 1471 as the residence of the noble Dandolo family. The palace has been elegantly transformed under the management of Four Seasons, in collaboration with Italian owner Gruppo Statuto.

The restoration was masterfully executed by renowned French interior architect Pierre-Yves Rochon. His work beautifully marries Venetian heritage with modern elegance. Guests can anticipate lavish Murano glass, Rubelli fabrics, and Italian marble adorning the hotel. Upon opening, the hotel boasts 120 rooms and suites, with plans to expand to 176 rooms and 79 suites by 2027. Rooms offer breathtaking views of the lagoon, Venice’s canals, or its iconic rooftops.

The hotel’s dining and wellness offerings are equally remarkable. Guests can relish a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, an aperitivo bar that pays homage to Italian cocktail culture, and a dedicated Danieli Spa — featuring a hammam and couples’ suites — set to debut in late 2026. The property also embraces sustainable practices, including Winnow AI food waste monitoring and the elimination of all single-use plastics. The original Danieli has hosted notable guests such as Charles Dickens, Coco Chanel, and George Clooney.
