Galderma Sets Up New US Headquarters in Miami and Announces New President
Galderma, a leader in the dermatology sector, has relocated its U.S. headquarters to Miami, Florida. This strategic move places the company at the center of a booming market for dermatological skincare and injectable aesthetics. The new headquarters, situated in the lively Brickell neighborhood, is expected to house approximately 150 employees, including U.S. leadership roles, by 2028.
Miami is rapidly becoming a prime market and hub for consumer skincare, consumer health, and aesthetic treatments. The Miami metro area is home to one of the highest concentrations of medical spas and dermatological aesthetic clinics in the United States. Aesthetic procedures in the area are witnessing an estimated 30% year-over-year growth. Additionally, Miami is home to the nation’s second-largest medical district, the Miami Health District, which houses numerous hospitals and research facilities.
“Miami’s creativity, energy and forward-thinking spirit are consistent with Galderma’s ambitions,” said Flemming Ørnskov, M.D., MPH, Chief Executive Officer of Galderma. “The city’s emergence as a premium destination and a trend-setter in areas closely aligned to our activities, as well as its fast-growing healthcare professional community, makes Miami a natural choice for our U.S. headquarters.”
In conjunction with the relocation, Galderma has announced the appointment of Heather Wallace as President of Galderma U.S., based in Miami. Wallace, former CEO of Curology and President of the Americas region for Revlon, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Galderma will continue to maintain operations in Boston for Therapeutic Dermatology and R&D, Carlsbad for Alastin skincare, and Dallas for key U.S. operations.
