Singapore Airlines Expands European Network with Daily Manchester Flights and New Madrid Route
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to dramatically reshape its European network this summer, offering exciting new options for long-haul travelers. Starting from July 13, 2026, the airline’s Singapore–Manchester route will transition from five weekly flights to daily operations. This move aims to strengthen connectivity between Northern England and Singapore, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
In a significant expansion, SIA is adding Madrid to its network as its 15th European destination. This marks the first time the Spanish capital has been included in the airline’s network since 2004. The new Singapore–Barcelona–Madrid service, launching on October 26, 2026, will operate five times weekly. Tickets for this route went on sale in June.
Moreover, the airline is upgrading its flagship Singapore–Amsterdam route from July 1, 2026. The prestigious Boeing 777-300ER will replace the Airbus A350-900, featuring a luxurious First Class cabin.
From June 21 through July 25, Singapore Airlines will deploy the iconic Airbus A380 — the world’s largest passenger aircraft — on its Singapore–Hong Kong route. This change will offer passengers more space and premium cabin services. The airline also continues to boost its London Gatwick services to daily flights and has increased frequencies to Milan and Munich.
These sweeping changes position Singapore Airlines as one of the most aggressive European expansion stories of summer 2026. Travelers will have significantly more schedule options and premium travel choices across the Asia-Europe corridor.
