Two Injured in Small Aircraft Crash at Plymouth Municipal Airport
On Tuesday afternoon, a small aircraft crashed on the runway at Plymouth Municipal Airport, Plymouth, New Hampshire, resulting in injuries to two people. This incident is the latest in a series of general aviation accidents that have occurred in the Granite State in recent weeks.
Plymouth Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched at approximately 4:04 p.m. on June 9, 2026, in response to reports of a downed aircraft. The responders found a single aircraft on the runway with significant structural damage. Both occupants were evaluated on the scene, transported to a local hospital, and are reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no reports of injuries to anyone on the ground.
The airport was temporarily closed while crews removed the aircraft and moved it to a hangar. Operations resumed shortly after. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has since opened an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, which remains undetermined at this time.
This incident at Plymouth is notably the third small plane crash in New Hampshire in recent weeks. Earlier this month, a Sonex aircraft went down on takeoff at Jaffrey Airport–Silver Ranch. The 75-year-old pilot was sent to a Massachusetts hospital after the propeller failed during the takeoff roll.
