Uncertain Future for Eclipse Jet Fleet as Key Parts Supplier Shuts Down

Resurgent Aviation Solutions, a pivotal supplier of parts and maintenance services for Eclipse 500 and 550 business jets, has declared its intention to cease all operations and liquidate its remaining inventory. The announcement, made on its website in mid-May 2026, sent shockwaves through the Eclipse owner community.

This closure carries significant implications as Resurgent was among the few remaining entities manufacturing and repairing critical airworthiness components for the Eclipse fleet. The company has confirmed that all tooling, test equipment, and repair infrastructure will be destroyed post-liquidation, with no successor anticipated to take over the product line.

“We understand our place in the Eclipse ecosystem and the void liquidation will create,” the company stated.

Currently, approximately 260 Eclipse 500 and 550 aircraft remain in service, primarily in North America. The company cautioned that the shortage of critical autopilot servos alone could ground roughly 30 aircraft per year. This could potentially render the entire fleet non-airworthy within eight years without alternative supply sources.

Operators have been strongly urged to acquire the remaining inventory during the ongoing liquidation auctions. Resurgent advised owners on aviation forums, “We would suggest assuming that every item of interest is the last one, as it may well be.”
