The hotel, a masterpiece designed by the acclaimed architect Kengo Kuma & Associates in partnership with Singapore-based Brewin Design Office, offers a modern luxury interpretation of Kyoto’s traditional machiya townhouses, complete with narrow alleys, secluded gardens, and multi-layered interior spaces.
The hotel’s gastronomic highlight is SoNoMa by SingleThread, a unique collaboration with the three-Michelin-starred California restaurant. Other dining options include the Japanese restaurant Yoi and French brasserie Lanterne.
