In the ninth week of 2026, global private aviation marked a significant milestone with 75,585 flights. This figure represents a 2% year-over-year increase, as per the data released by WingX on March 5, 2026. The data underscores the continued robust growth in the business aviation sector.
Strong Performance in Major Markets
The United States spearheaded the market with nearly 55,000 private jet departures, indicating a 4% rise compared to the same period in 2025. Major markets exhibited a robust performance:
- Florida recorded an 11% increase
- Both California and Texas saw a 9% growth
Europe also showcased a continued expansion with over 9,250 flights, marking a 2% year-over-year increase.
Challenges in the Middle East
Contrastingly, the Middle East faced significant challenges due to regional conflicts, witnessing a 29% drop in flight activity compared to last year. As of March 3, approximately 164 private jets remained grounded across Middle Eastern airports with an average parking duration of 4.5 days. However, this number decreased to 140 aircraft by March 4 as evacuation efforts intensified.
Post-Pandemic Growth Trajectory
The data confirms that private aviation continues its post-pandemic growth trajectory. Over 300,000 total departures were recorded in the last four weeks, representing a 4% year-over-year increase. This highlights the sector’s resilience and its expanding role in global mobility.
