Gulfstream Targets 200 Jet Deliveries a Year by 2030; G300 Certification Expected in Late 2027

Gulfstream Aerospace has set an ambitious production milestone: delivering 200 business jets per year by 2030—a record rate for the Savannah, Georgia-based manufacturer. General Dynamics President Danny Deep outlined the goal and the production ramp required to achieve it during the company’s quarterly earnings call on November 5, 2026.

To deliver 200 aircraft in 2030, Gulfstream will need to produce more than 200 jets in 2029, allowing time for exterior painting and cabin completions. Deep said the company’s existing facilities, workforce, and infrastructure are sufficient to support the ramp, with no major capital build-out required.

Gulfstream delivered 40 jets in the third quarter of 2026, while its aerospace backlog climbed to nearly $25.4 billion.

A key part of the production plan is the new G300 super-midsize jet, which is targeted to receive FAA certification in late 2027. Designed with Gulfstream’s Harmony Flight Deck, the G300 seats up to 10 passengers and has a projected range of 3,600 nautical miles at Mach 0.80.

A brief delivery gap is expected after the final G280 deliveries in mid-2027 and before the G300 enters service. Gulfstream plans to offset the gap by increasing deliveries of its larger-cabin aircraft models.
