The global travel industry is converging on London this week as World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026 opens its doors at ExCeL London from November 3–5, 2026. Widely regarded as one of the world’s most influential travel and tourism events, this year’s edition comes amid shifting geopolitical dynamics and significant changes in how nations promote international tourism.

Key developments ahead of the show include:

  • China has expanded its pavilion by nearly 22%, signaling an ambitious push to reclaim its position as a leading source market for global tourism.
  • Egypt has secured Premier Partner status, reinforcing its efforts to attract high-value international travelers.
  • Ireland has announced an additional €2.5 million for Tourism Ireland’s international marketing budget as part of its Budget 2027 measures.

Organizers are building on a record-breaking 2025 event, which drew more than 46,500 attendees and facilitated over 40,000 business meetings, generating more than £2.2 billion in deals.

New for 2026 is an expanded Travel Tech exhibition, focused on artificial intelligence, digital tools, and data—reflecting the industry’s rapid adoption of technology. Keynote sessions at the Trends Stage, Experience Hub, and Future Stage will feature senior C-suite voices discussing the forces reshaping global travel.
